Congratulations to the Kansas City Public Schools and Superintendent Steven Green for dramatic improvement in state assessment results, tripling its score from last year. While more remains to be done to lift the district to accredited status, the progress reflects hard work of students, parents, teachers and administrators and reforms in the district's academic and business practices, working with AFT Local 691 and many community groups.
