The LMC is saddened to learn of the death of the Hon. Ike Skelton. Ike, who represented part of the Kansas CIty area for 35 years in Congress, was a true gentleman who made sure that his staff served constituents--whether in his district or not--well. Ike supported labor-management collaboration and key infrastructure projects for the KC region. He wasn't afraid to lead reform efforts unpopular at the Pentagon yet built great influence on the nation's military policies. He will be missed.
