•Introductions and thanks to Rosie Biondo and Mark One for hosting.
•The next bid package for the Crime Lab/Patrol Station project will be out Jan. 4 for the police station and community center, with a smaller package out in late January. A meeting with craft unions and the city regarding Section 3 elements will be held at the Builders’ Association Jan. 8 at 10:30 a.m., 3rd floor.
•Draft language for the Joint Compliance Monitoring Program for KCMO will be discussed at a Dec. 18 meeting, with a goal of introduction to the city council in January.
•The Missouri legislative special session approved a package to try to attract Boeing to build a new product in St. Louis, but in order to smooth passage the Governor promised to work to change tax credit programs during the regular session, probably including historic and low income housing credits. Other issues from last year will remain on the table.
•A signatory contractor with the Bricklayers is being sworn in today as a member of the Kansas legislature.
•The Kansas City Construction Partners now have brochures available and will soon have its new website up.
•NICE is again host the iBuild Showcase April 17 at Bartle Hall and is embarking on a major fund raising effort.
•J.E. Dunn Construction Co. has a new CEO, Gordon Lansford. Terry Dunn remains CEO of the parent company and will focus more on civic efforts such as chairing the Chamber next year. Lansford has been the CFO.
•IBEW Local 124 will host former Sen. Tim Green this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. to discuss “right-to-work” and other issues. All are welcome to attend.
