Ford Motor Co. leader Jay Hinrichs today praised the company's "great partnership" with the UAW and the quality of the Kansas City are workforce while announcing 1,200 new jobs at the Claycomo plant. Hinrichs also emphasized that "working together, we can solve problems." Hinrichs and Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, who echoed the theme of all parties talking and working jointly, spoke at the annual Northland luncheon sponsored by the Clay County Economic Development Council, the Northland Chamber and the Platte County Economic Development Council. UAW Vice President Jimmy Settles also attended the event.
