The Kansas City Public Schools gave an update today at Paseo High. The district is rapidly improving its test scores, but as superintendent Steven Green noted, it also is starting to emphasize key skills not addressed in standardized tests. Green also noted that the district's goal is to improve the results of all students, and has opened two new middle schools this year. Green recognized KCAFT President Andrea Flinders and noted that hard work of district teachers, administrators and staff as well as volunteers is critical to its improvement.
