Summary of Minutes

Attending: Sam Alpert, Alan Ayres, Terri Casey, Greg Davey, Tim Dupin, Bob Jacobi
•Thanks to Greg Davey and the Builders’ Association for virtual hosting.
•M/S/C to approve the proposed 2020-21 budget.
•M/S/C to approve the Financial Report.
•Congress recently passed a bill to include COVD-19 affected first responders for disability benefits.
•Local 42 has not yet reached a contract with the Jackson County Prosecutor’s office; federal mediators are now assisting.
•The Mid-America Labor/Management Conference has been cancelled for 2020 and will next take place July 11-14, 2021 at Camden on the Lake.
•The Craig Whitaker Memorial LMC Golf Tournament is scheduled for July 27 with participation ahead of last year. Safety precautions will be taken and touchless registration and raffle sales are being set up with assistance of Greg Davey.
•The 41st Anniversary & Awards Dinner is scheduled for Aug. 13; printed invitations have been sent. However if COVID-19 conditions continue to be difficult a postponement is possible.
•The first Sporting Clay Shoot is set for Sept. 17. Reservations have begun to come in. As an outside event, safe procedures should be easier to institute.
•The Mid-Level Leadership Program is expected to be held likely with just one in-person session for the fall and at least four for the spring. Arrangements are being finalized, with a limit of 10 participants.
•BOMA will co-present the Public Officials Reception scheduled for Oct. 22 with the LMC.
•At the July LMC board meeting, an officer and board slate for 2020-21 will be set as well as election procedure if the Anniversary and Awards Dinner, which serves as the annual meeting, requires a different format or later date.
•M/S/C to nominate Alise Martiny for reelection as Secretary.
•M/S/C to nominate Don Greenwell for reelection as Treasurer.
•M/S/C to nominate Clarence Brown to a labor board position.
•M/S/C to nominate Charles Onwuche to a labor board position.
•The next Board meeting will be at 2 p.m., (notice time change) Wednesday, Oct. 7 likely via Zoom.
•M/S/C to adjourn at 10:15 a.m.
